News from the college front!

I feel that I should clarify that this post is, in fact, not by Phil.  [insert generic disclaimer here]

Moving on!  After surviving the first two weeks of college, I am now qualified enough to give a decent description of college life.  Whether or not it actually makes sense is an entirely different problem.

LIFE AT CASE: is very different.  First off, you are living with another complete stranger. I feel fairly lucky in this process, as I am rooming with another Canton-area student. We are both fairly relaxed about the room, and it worked out pretty well. The food isn't bad too often, and there's always pizza if you want it.

GOINGS ON: for the first two weeks, it's pretty much chaos. The fraternities are "rushing", their term for recruiting. This means that 20-30 groups are having events pretty much constantly. There are several showcase fairs, where you have the opportunity to find events, jobs, and even internships. Supposedly (I've missed them all) there is a party under the cafeteria every Thursday night.

SCHOOLWORK: hasn't really picked up yet.  Judging by word of mouth, next week is when the real assignments start coming up.  Other than that, most of the classes that I am taking have great professors teaching.

So far, I haven't had any real issues with college that haven't been present throughout my education so far.  English, I'm looking at you. I also haven't really felt homesick yet, but it helps that my family won't stop bothering me. Since Seth is probably going to read this, could you get the phone away from Bethany for five minutes? Thanks.

Awake on a Saturday?!
Jake
